Welcome to the ‘Top 10’ weekly feature. Each week we will be taking a look at the top 10 selling games in a particular genre, platform, most recent month, even sprinkling in the top 10 selling games from a past year. All sales specified will be worldwide, unless stated otherwise.

This week we will be looking at the top 10 bestselling games published by Konami. Last week we looked at the top 10 selling games published by Take-Two and the week before that the top 10 selling games of May 2012. If there is a particular top 10 you want to see leave a comment and it may be featured in a future top 10.

You have Crash Bandicoot at number 4 in your list, with 5.42 million. Konami only published the game in Japan, it was published by Universal Interactive everywhere else in the world. If you take the Japan-only sales of the game (which is all Konami would have seen), it's only 0.82 million. I don't really understand why it's included on this list.

47.4 MILLION PERCENT?! Good lord, the Metal Gear Solid franchise certainly has been a boon for Konami.

Interesting that the least liked MGS game as per the vocal majority fan base actually sold the most?

Lets see if Metal Gear Solid 5 can crake in the list

MGS4 might be their top selling game in not to long. That is kinda shocking considering how well the others sold in the prime PS2 era.

Not all that surprised. They make such great games, they deserve such high sales.

Wow. I guess we see why they keep making Metal Gear. And you're not going to get too much complaining from me about them doing it either!

The sad part for Konami is, that they weren't able to repeat the big success they had on PS2 obviously on the PS3. Only one title for PS3 made that list.

That's because they made just one MGS and EA made some good improvents to Fifa, basically crushing PES.

The problem with that is...They only made ONE Metal Gear Solid game this generation. The 5th will prolly be on the PS4 to be completely honest. If they made 2 or 3 full MGS games, they would have 2-3 games on that list. It's all their fault because they focused on side projects that are mostly garbage.

Wow, MGS4 is the only current gen game to make it on the list. Konami should start some kind of spin-off series or a bunch of prequels. Maybe even remakes of the original Metal Gear games. Besides PES, nothing is really helping them out much.

Wow, just MGS and PES on the whole list (I also thin CB shouldn't be there).
